BWI affiliate the National Union of Civil engineering, Construction, Furniture and Wood Workers (NUCECFWW) is supporting a national workplace safety rally and also campaigning for safer conditions from Chinese Multinational Companies in Nigeria.
The activities will take place in Abuja and Lagos,
On 28 April the safety campaigning focus for BWI affiliates FTBBF, FNTCS and SNTBB will be to raise awareness of the work risks for casual workers.
Timber and Woodworkers’ Union (TWU) of Ghana will conduct a workplace greening OHS Campaign for 28 April in the Kumasi Ashanti Region. TWU will “Make at least 2,000 posters fliers, letters, etc. to work places to sensitize Employers/ Employees about O.H.S welfare and many more… educate everyone who chance to come across any of the matters.”
