In June 2022, the International Labour Conference included “a safe and healthy working environment” as a fundamental principle and right at work.  This year, for the 2023 World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Manal Azzi, Global OSH Lead for the ILO, describes the findings of this year’s report which examined the implementation status of the two fundamental Conventions on OSH, the Occupational Safety and Health Convention No. 155 and the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention No. 187, around the world.
