Today we celebrate World Safety and Health Day at Work. Together with the World Construction Syndicate (BWI Global Union), we urge you to remember people who have died, disabled or sick during work and campaign to prevent future accidents and diseases.
This year, the theme of BWI’s weekly campaign is “Protection of Workers – Stopping COVID-19”. The crisis has deeply affected working people around the world.
“Despite the closures and cuts on construction sites, we must not allow a pandemic to build walls and compartments between workers when we are fighting to protect our health, safety and livelihoods”, says BWI Secretary General Ambeth Yuson.
