On this World Day for Safety and Health at Work<\/strong> (28 April 2023), the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (<\/em>IOSH<\/em><\/a>), the world\u2019s leading chartered professional body for people responsible for safety and health in the workplace, celebrates the 10 months that have passed since the International Labour Organization (ILO) adopted a safe and healthy work environment as a <\/em>fundamental principle and right<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

With IOSH being part of the family of <\/em>Commonwealth-accredited<\/em><\/a> organisations, we\u2019re doing this by focusing on the Commonwealth\u2019s growing commitment to developing good occupational safety and health (OSH). So, here we profile OSH professionals from 10 Commonwealth players<\/strong><\/a> (including the Commonwealth Secretariat, in London) \u2013 one for each month since the historic ILO adoption \u2013 to show how they\u2019ve each \u2018struck a blow\u2019 for the ILO\u2026 and an exciting new era for OSH around the globe.<\/em><\/p>\n
