{"id":5347,"date":"2022-04-25T09:44:13","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T09:44:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/28april.org\/?p=5347"},"modified":"2022-04-25T09:44:13","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T09:44:13","slug":"ireland-workers-memorial-day-2022-ictu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/28april.org\/?p=5347","title":{"rendered":"Ireland: Workers&#8217; Memorial Day 2022 | ICTU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.ictu.ie\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Memorial%20Day%20Logo%20CONGRESS%202022_0.jpg\" alt=\"Congress IWMD logo\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday 28th April 2022 \u2013 Remember the dead, fight like hell for the living<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Workers&#8217; Memorial Day on April 28th will be marked with a ceremony to be held in the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>Congress representatives will be joined by the HSA, Ibec, CIF and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment for a number of short addresses and the laying of a commemorative wreath by Minister Damien English TD. Please contact us at <a href=\"mailto:osh@ictu.ie\">osh@ictu.ie<\/a> if you wish to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Workers representing a variety of sectors will lay flowers in memory of those who have been killed, injured or made ill at work.<\/p>\n<p>Congress is asking all affiliated unions to encourage events in workplaces to mark the day.<\/p>\n<p>There are a wide range of initiatives that unions can consider including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get involved in creating awareness by using the official Workers\u2019 Memorial Day Ireland logo on your website, social media presence, presentations, email signatures, displays and in offices and workplaces.\u00a0 <em>The logo is available below; just right-click and save.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Website\/Newsletter content<\/li>\n<li>Social media content.
